UK waives customs duty on certain medical equipment

HMRC has announced a waiver on customs duty on the importation of certain medical equipment to assist the fight against Covid-19. The measures were announced on 31 March and will be effective until 31 July.

As Customs duties belong to the EU, the UK has taken the legal basis to waive these duties to be the EU Disaster Relief Regulations.
